Definitive Diagnosis
Surgical excision was performed.
Imaging Findings
Chest PA: Slowly growing mass in left heart border.
CT: On early phase CT, focal vascular enhancement was seen in the mass. On delayed phase CT, large area of enhancement was shown.
Coronary angiography: Feeding vessel and vascular puddling were demonstrated.
Differential Diagnosis
Hemangioma
Paraganglioma
Sarcoma
Pericardial teratoma
Pericardial mesothelioma

Clinical Features

Rare benign vascular tumor of heart
5~10% of benign cardiac tumors
All age group
Most asymptomatic
Symptoms : dyspnea on exertion, chest pain, arrhythmia, heart failure


Radiological Features

Any chamber, pericardium
Echocardiography : hyperechoic lesion
Unenhanced CT : heterogeneous density, calcification
Enhanced CT : heterogeneous strong enhancement, centripetal filling pattern (like hepatic hemangioma)
T1WI : intermediate signal intensity
T2WI : high signal intensity
Coronary angiography : demonstrate feeding vessel to the hemangioma


Treatment

Surgical excision
Excellent prognosis
